Cardlytics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Data Engineer to lead the design of an integrated MLOps and forecasting platform on Databricks. You will bridge data science and production engineering, ensuring scalable models for campaign projections, lift analysis, and budget forecasting.

You will guide automated pipelines, CI/CD standards, and telemetry-first data quality, collaborating with scientists and product stakeholders to deliver high-impact, explainable analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and scaling MLOps pipelines in production.
• Expertise in the Databricks platform (Unity Catalog, MLflow) for big data and ML workloads.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark with data modeling and semantic layer design knowledge.
• Leadership in large-scale architectural migrations and managing technical debt.
• Strong understanding of time-series forecasting, statistical modeling, or causal inference.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect a unified MLOps and forecasting platform on Databricks.
• Lead automated pipelines for campaign projections, lift analysis, and budget forecasting.
• Ensure scalable, production-grade models with CI/CD and deployment standards.
• Define clean data standards and telemetry-driven practices.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to explore GenAI patterns and productionization.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps prioritizing explainability and scale.
• Mentor senior engineers to promote operational excellence and velocity.
