Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Senior Principal to drive advanced cyber engineering, prototyping, and delivery for mission-critical systems. This role reports to the CTO leadership and serves as a primary technical driver within high-impact cyber initiatives.

You will design and build complex cyber capabilities, perform hands-on development, conduct vulnerability research, and mentor engineers while addressing customer challenges.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on cyber engineering experience.
• Experience with design, development, and testing of complex cyber systems.
• Strong ability to conduct technical research to identify vulnerabilities and inform mission approaches.
• Experience leading or contributing to R&D activities and architecture artifacts.
• Clear communication at executive level and ability to work autonomously or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive testing, validation, deployment, and sustainment of cyber tools and systems.
• Develop and assess engineering artifacts, including security architecture diagrams and system descriptions.
• Provide thought leadership in cyber capabilities across OCO and DCO domains.
• Mentor engineers in advanced cyber techniques and drive collaboration with program teams.
• Deliver innovative technical solutions aligned with mission needs and resources.
