The Role

Entegris is seeking a Senior Principal, Corporate Ventures to join our Entegris Ventures team. In this role, you will drive the venture investment process across select mid-stage (Series A/B) startups spanning fund strategy, deal sourcing, due diligence, risk assessment, partnership definition, deal execution, and portfolio management. You will focus on opportunities aligned with Entegris' materials science innovation culture, high-tech go-to-market channels, unit-driven business model, sustainability objectives, and PACE Values. You will partner broadly across the organization from the Technology Innovation and ER&D teams as well as Business Development and new semi solutions, to identify, evaluate, and manage a pipeline of investment opportunities in select Semiconductor and Electronics market verticals, as well as in path-finding innovation within new application domains.

As a critical member of a small, nimble team, you will be responsible for the definition, presentation, negotiation, execution, and oversight of a diverse portfolio of investments designed to: Contribute learnings into emerging technologies and markets Detect disruptive technologies and business models Augment Entegris ER&D capability through external partnerships Access top talent and thought leaders Drive continued growth for wider Entegris, with an ambition to boost mid to long-term growth by an additional >1–2% CAGR.

What You’ll Do

Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment Develop and execute a consistent stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure innovation alignment with senior business leaders in support of inorganic growth opportunities and sustained organizational support.

Work in close collaboration with various teams, Corporate Development, BU Technology & Leadership, and Advanced Innovation and Technology to develop application domains, mapping of priority verticals, and startup ecosystems.

Venture Sourcing Proactively network internally and externally to identify new investment opportunities. Build and manage relationships across the venture capital ecosystem — including universities, innovation ecosystems, funds, VCs, and CVCs operating in targeted Semiconductor and Tech markets Leverage state-of-the-art innovations and technologies to curate a continual pipeline of startup opportunities.

Startup Partnerships & Engagement Lead the definition of value-accretive partnerships for startups while ensuring value creation for Entegris BUs in existing Semiconductor markets Analyze ~200–300+ startups per year; conduct >50 management presentations; engage in ~15 due diligence and partnership definition processes; with an objective to partner with and invest in 2–3 startups per year per investment lead. Capital Deployment & Portfolio Management Follow the Entegris Ventures stage-gate process to ensure appropriate allocation of investments across pre-agreed priority verticals, efficient capital deployment, and risk mitigation. Articulate exit strategies (including IPO and acquisition pathways) and ensure a value-creation framework and tracking are in place to yield adequate portfolio returns.

Communication & Reporting Regularly provide updates to the Ventures Investment Committee (and/or Fund Board), Entegris Executive Leadership Team, and key Division/BU stakeholders on overall portfolio health and value creation derived from investments. Partner with Entegris Marketing & Communications to develop internal and external PR strategies that create advocacy, excitement for the portfolio, and enthusiasm for continued investment.
