Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Contracts Administrator to support proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and administration for complex programs. The role requires close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant contract execution.

The selected candidate will manage routine and complex contractual issues, monitor deliverables, and maintain contract data across systems, while supporting financial goals and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of contracts experience, or Master's with 6 years, or 12 years in lieu.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Experience with 1ERP and government customers (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary interface with the customer for contractual issues.
  • Participate in contract proposal preparation, negotiations, administration, and customer contract activities.
  • Develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

This position is for on-site/in-office every day and offers a 9/80 schedule.What You’ll Get to Do:The Launcher Systems Operating Unit is seeking one Associate or Principal Contract Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contract activities to provide and ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer requirements.The primary responsibilities include administration of standard and nonstandard unconventional contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Responsibilities include by are not limited to:Act as a primary interface with customer for contractual issues; Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.Enter and maintain contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting SystemEnsure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices.Perform complex assignments independently without appreciable direction.Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignmentsServes as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.Considered expert in field within the organization.Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. contracts related legal) - OR - a Master's degree with 6 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. contracts related legal).Will accept 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.Proficiency in MS Office; EXCELWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARSU.S. Citizenship Required.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance is required.Preferred ExperienceA Current/Active Secret ClearanceExperience using 1ERPExperience with US government customers.What We Can Offer You –Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
