Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Colorado Springs seeks a Sr Principal Computer Systems Analyst (GAITS) to join our Missile Defense Integration team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining analysis tools, analyzing large‑scale simulations, and translating results for software teams and mission stakeholders.

On‑site work is required with no remote option. The ideal candidate brings strong Python/MATLAB skills, experience with Linux, and a deep understanding of ballistic missile defense concepts

Qualifications

• Current or active Top Secret (or similar) clearance on resume or ability to obtain
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field with significant modeling, simulation, and performance analysis experience
• Experience with object‑oriented programming and analysis tools (Python, MATLAB) for large data sets
• Experience in performance analysis of large‑scale simulations involving missile defense concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance analysis tools to support program and customer needs
• Analyze real‑world data related to missile defense and space domain awareness for performance and trends
• Perform performance characterization of large‑scale simulations of threats and C2 architectures
• Use MATLAB and Python to process, visualize, and interpret complex data and results
• Explain analytical results to both technical and non‑technical audiences and provide actionable feedback to software teams
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to map features to program objectives
• Work with cross‑functional teams including systems engineers, software, testers, and mission analysts
• Operate in a Linux environment for data analysis and tool execution
