BeOne Medicines Ltd. seeks a Sr. Principal Software and AI Engineer to lead AI-powered clinical development platforms. You will architect and ship production‑grade agentic applications for protocol generation and trial execution, while mentoring engineers and aligning with clinical, regulatory, and product teams.

You will shape R&D AI strategy, set standards for evaluation and observability, and drive innovation in compliant, secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AI/ML products, preferably in pharma or life sciences.
• 7+ years of software/AI engineering with tech lead or principal engineer ownership.
• Experience shipping production‑grade AI and agentic applications in regulated environments.
• Strong backend and enterprise application architecture skills across full stack.

Responsabilités

• Architect, build, and deploy AI/agentic applications for protocol generation and clinical trial execution.
• Collaborate with clinicians, medical writers, statisticians, data scientists, and product teams to embed AI into regulated workflows.
• Define scalable platform architecture for multi-agent orchestration and LLMOps lifecycle.
• Establish best practices for AI-native development, evaluation, testing, observability, and SDLC compliance.
• Evaluate frontier/open-weight models and toolchains; manage build/buy/model sourcing decisions.
• Ensure GxP, data privacy, security, and responsible AI with traceability and human oversight.
• Lead and mentor engineers; manage priorities, scope, and timelines for AI engineering teams.
