Job summary

Nightwing is seeking an experienced Estimating and Pricing professional to support the development and execution of sole source and competitive proposals for Government and Commercial contracts. You will partner with capture teams to provide strategic pricing guidance and cost/price analysis to maximize win probability while ensuring profitability.

The role focuses on pricing strategies, cost modeling, and compliance with FAR/DFARS, TINA, and CAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of pricing, cost estimating or financial analysis experience supporting government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contract types and government pricing requirements.
• Proficiency in cost modeling, spreadsheet development and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategies and competitive pricing recommendations for government and commercial opportunities.
• Prepare detailed cost models and pricing volumes for proposals.
• Analyze labor, material, subcontractor costs, and indirect rates to build accurate estimates.
• Conduct cost analyses and price reasonableness assessments.
• Collaborate with BD, program managers, and leadership to inform pricing decisions.

Nightwing is seeking an experienced Estimating and Pricing professional to support the development and execution of sole source and competitive proposals for Government and Commercial contracts. This role serves as a critical business partner to capture teams, providing strategic pricing guidance and cost/price analysis to maximize win probability while ensuring profitability.

Proposal Pricing & Cost Analysis

• Develop comprehensive pricing strategies and competitive pricing recommendations for government and commercial opportunities.
• Prepare detailed cost models and pricing volumes for proposals.
• Analyze labor rates, material costs, subcontractor quotes, and indirect rates to build accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct cost analyses and price reasonableness assessments.

Government Contracting Compliance

• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements, CAS, and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
• Prepare cost and pricing data submissions in accordance with government regulations.
• Develop and maintain certified cost or pricing data packages.

Business Analysis & Strategy

• Collaborate with business development teams, program managers, and program function staff.
• Perform analysis and research to inform pricing decisions.
• Generate pricing reports and presentations for executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• 5+ years of experience in pricing, cost estimating, or financial analysis supporting government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc.), and government pricing requirements.
• Experience preparing proposals for Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or Federal civilian agencies.
• Proficiency in cost modeling, spreadsheet development, and financial analysis tools. To include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced proposal environment.

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($77,000-$163,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
