Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory is looking for a Safety Engineer III to join the Facilities Operations Section. This role involves the management and certification of pressure vessels and cryogenic services ensuring safety in mission-critical systems.

Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and significant experience in NDT operations. The position offers an annual salary range of $121,992 to $147,680, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Ability to conduct work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects on ground‑based pressure safety.
• Train and certify NDT personnel.
• Provide technical oversight of NDT programs.

Skills

Extensive experience leading NDT operations

Strong knowledge of codes, standards

Proficient in interpreting NDT results

Competence in Visual Testing (VT)

Basic ASNT Level III examination

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in related field

Tools
