Job summary

Imagine is seeking a Prepress Operator in Shakopee, MN to ensure art/files meet client specs for offset, digital, screen, and dye sublimation printing. You will handle file preparation, color management, and QC across multiple printing processes.

The role requires 5+ years in electronic pre-press, strong communication, and attention to detail. Typical hours are 11:30am–8:00pm, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years in an electronic pre-press environment.
• Experience with color management and color breaks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with Sales and Account Management team members.
• Prepare customer files for: size, image resolution, bleeds, overprints, font issues, and color breaks.
• Maintain QC during all prepress steps; verify artwork reproduces to customer specs.
• Maintain a workflow schedule and communicate status regularly to internal customers.
• Process and build files for production.
• Determine and create page layouts, accounting for folds, trims, and die cuts.
• Work with graphic design and layout software on Mac OS.
• Perform quality checks on finished proofs before releasing to manufacturing.
• Output digital files to various output devices.
• Address concerns from sales/production on client expectations.
• Contribute to safety by keeping a clean workspace and reporting hazards.
• Communicate with production to understand printing capabilities.
• Meet productivity and quality standards and work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
