Job summary

CK Construction Group seeks a strategic leader for its preconstruction department. You will guide pursuit strategy, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews, mentoring a growing team and coordinating with operations and business development to win major projects.

The role emphasizes optimizing design through TVD/VE, leading GMP documents, and ensuring seamless transition from preconstruction to operations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in construction management/engineering/architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of construction, estimating, or preconstruction experience.
• Proven leadership experience in client-facing roles and strategic project pursuits.
• Experience leading teams and overseeing major pursuits and complex preconstruction programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the preconstruction team, including managers and engineers.
• Oversee RFQ/RFP submissions, project strategy, staffing, and budgeting.
• Guide clients and internal teams through preconstruction lifecycle from pursuit to turnover.
• Develop procedures, QA/QC standards, and best practices for the department.
• Collaborate with Operations, Estimating, BD, and Executive Leadership to align pursuits and execution.
