Job summary

The Estimating/Preconstruction Department at Clark Construction Group leads the budgeting and bidding process for active and upcoming projects. This role focuses on developing accurate time, cost, and labor estimates, while identifying risk and driving continuous improvement across multi-discipline bids.

Senior estimators guide teams on complex projects, solicit bids, and manage subcontractor quotes to achieve competitive, profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Analyze drawings, specs, proposals to prepare time, cost and labor estimates.
• Lead or perform portions of multi-discipline estimates with scope understanding.
• Supervise and train other estimators in primary area of expertise.
• Solicit Subcontractor/Vendor quotes and evaluate for scope/qualifications.
• Lead meetings with Subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategy.
• Perform risk and contract management on bids as required.
• Review total estimate for accuracy and completeness prior to quotation.
• Monitor cost estimates vs actual costs and pursue continuous improvement.
