Job summary

Gordon Highlander is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead our preconstruction efforts for commercial construction projects in Florida. This leadership role emphasizes strategic estimating, client relations, and developing personnel while driving growth.

The Senior Estimator will oversee the entire preconstruction process, collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners, and provide cost guidance through project development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating and preconstruction experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts on commercial projects.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost planning, procurement, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead all preconstruction and estimating activities from pursuit to contract award.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors on estimations.
• Prepare and review conceptual estimates, budgets, takeoffs, and proposals.
• Lead value engineering to maximize project value while preserving quality and schedule.
• Mentor Associates inPreconstruction and develop leadership competencies.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless transition to execution.
