Job summary

Reata Engineering & Machine Works is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to bridge engineering and shop-floor execution. You will develop machining processes for prototype and production, select machines, plan tooling and inspection, and mentor younger engineers on real manufacturing problems.

The role focuses on 5-axis and mill-turn environments, automation and data-driven improvements, with emphasis on turning knowledge into repeatable, standard processes across a high-mix shop.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing, machining, programming or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical-device or similarly demanding manufacturing is highly desirable.
• A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve machining processes for prototype and production work.
• Determine machine selection, operation sequence, tooling, workholding and inspection strategy.
• Support new-product introduction and first-article production; mentor engineers on the shop floor.
• Improve setup time, cycle time, tool life, process capability and repeatability.
