Job summary

ClearBridge Technology Group is seeking an experienced manager to lead a team delivering VMware solutions, notably VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). You will report to the Senior Practice Leader and collaborate with Broadcom stakeholders, internal teams, and customers to ensure successful delivery and outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading engineers, managing delivery, enabling teams, and ensuring security/compliance across projects. Salary range $180K–$225K with a 20% bonus target is offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with virtualization or cloud solutions.
• 5+ years managing technical delivery teams (Professional Services, MSP, Consultants) in VMware/cloud services.
• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and related cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP, etc.).
• Experience leading teams delivering complex professional services engagements.
• Experience across a broad range of industry verticals and technical environments.
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ensure deliveries meet security/compliance standards (NIST, FedRAMP, GBLA, GDPR, SEC).
• Identify and scope opportunities to drive VMware/VCF adoption and business development.
• Provide thought leadership and best practices for VMware/VCF in customer environments.

Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced manager to join our practice management team and lead technical professionals specializing in delivering VMware solutions, particularly VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). The ideal candidate will report to the Senior Practice Leader and work closely with leadership, internal VMware/Broadcom stakeholders, external customers, and their team to ensure successful solution deliveries. Additionally, the candidate will provide operational leadership, support practice development initiatives, and drive technical enablement strategies across the team. Success in this role requires blending people leadership, workforce capacity management, operational leadership, performance management, and customer engagement skills to drive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead and develop a team of VMware/VCF engineers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, priorities, and industry best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with Broadcom internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and sales teams, to align VMware/VCF solutions with customer needs.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with a combination of commercial, government and defense customers to assess requirements, drive high-level architecture, design VCF-based solutions, and ensure successful customer outcomes. Serve as the main escalation point for critical issues, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and drive customer success.
• Training & Enablement: Develop and oversee training programs to continuously upskill resources, ensuring they maintain knowledge of VMware/VCF, modern cloud management, and related technologies.
• Project Execution: Manage, oversee, and execute solution delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Ensure team members maintain required billable utilization.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all deliveries meet appropriate security and compliance standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, GBLA, GDPR, SEC and other relevant regulations.
• Business Development: Identify and scope level of effort for new opportunities to drive VMware/VCF adoption. Support various business development efforts to expand our practice.
• Technical Advocacy: Serve as a thought leader within the VMware/VCF community, providing insights, and best practices for use across customer environments.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with some experience in virtualization or cloud solutions
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing technical delivery teams (i.e. Professional Services, MSP, Consultants) in a VMware or cloud services/solutions environment.
• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and/or related modern cloud technologies (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP, Nutanix, OpenShift, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams delivering complex professional services consulting engagements
• Experience working across a broad range of industry verticals and technical infrastructure environments
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
