Job summary

Rheinmetall in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a skilled Catia V5 designer for powertrain components. You will create 3D models, detail drawings, and tolerance analyses, interfacing with Design Team Leaders and Product Engineers to assemble accurate outputs.

The role requires deep GD&T knowledge, experience with casting/stamping components, and familiarity with TeamCenter. Occasional travel for training and collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Design/Drafting or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Catia V5 design experience.
• Knowledgeable in ANSI/ISO detailed drawing standards.
• Experience with castings, stampings and turned components.
• Advanced GD&T knowledge and application.
• TeamCenter data management experience.
• Willingness to travel for training and duties.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze specifications, sketches and drawings to assess design factors.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews with the Engineering Team and stakeholders.
• Apply GD&T to drawings and ensure conformance to ANSI/ISO standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers/customers to understand needs and feasibility.
