Job summary

Ameren Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer to assist in planning, development, and maintenance of the electric distribution system across Ameren Illinois. You will support DER integration, perform power flow studies, and provide technical guidance to field engineering teams.

The role emphasizes safety, design accuracy, and collaboration with multiple departments to optimize facilities and hosting capacity for renewables and non-wire alternatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• FE certification or PE registration preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis or field engineering desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design for new facilities and initiate design/construction.
• Ensure safety performance expectations are met.
• Perform power flow and reliability studies for the distribution system.
• Evaluate DER interconnections including solar, wind, battery storage.
• Use engineering tools to assess system adequacy and hosting capacity.
