Job summary

A leading electrical contractor in the United States is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer III to design and implement protection strategies for high-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and over 6 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include developing relay settings and overseeing field testing. This position may require travel up to 50% and offers competitive compensation and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years relevant application experience in protection and relay settings.
• A U.S.-based Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• High proficiency with power system modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying.
• Support field testing, commissioning, and validation of protection relays.
• Prepare technical documentation, including relay settings and test reports.
