Job summary

Jefferson seeks a Senior Engineer to lead Power Platform development for a federal agency. The role requires designing enterprise-scale solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and governance, with responsibilities spanning architecture, development, and data integration at the Coast Guard HQ in Washington, DC.

Hybrid work is allowed with off-site arrangements as needed and subject to security clearances.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a BA/BS, or 5+ years with an MA/MS.
  • Experience includes solution architecture, enterprise app development, technical leadership, and systems integration.
  • Minimum of 3 years supporting Government Agencies with enterprise-scale solutions; USCG or DHS experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: PL-600 or AB-100 certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical authority for Power Platform development.
  • Oversee end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise-scale applications.
  • Establish governance frameworks and best practices for Power Platform development.
  • Lead design of applications and automations for security, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership in solution architecture, enterprise development, and systems integration.
  • Ensure solutions meet client requirements and objectives.
  • Gather requirements, design architecture, develop prototypes, and obtain user feedback.
  • Build, test, and deploy Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems and data sources.
  • Provide user training, guides, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Provide regular status updates and performance reports.

Jefferson is seeking a Senior Engineer to support a federal agency.

This role in contingent upon successful award of proposal.

This role will be Hybrid. The primary place of performance for this contract will be the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, located at the St. Elizabeths Campus at 2703 Martin Luther King JR Ave SE, Washington, DC, 20593-7800. Due to potential space limitations at the primary facility, off-site remote work may be authorized as necessary, subject to the review and express written approval of the COR. All off-site work must comply with established security protocols and data handling requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master’s degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, OR
  • Relevant expert-level technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert) and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
  • Relevant experience includes solution architecture, enterprise application development, technical leadership, and systems integration.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct support of Government Agencies, with proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Experience with the USCG or DHS is preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Legacy Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) certification or an active AB-100 required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Relevant scope area: Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom business applications using enterprise solutions such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
