DRW Holdings, LLC is seeking a Senior Quantitative Power Strategist to join the US Power and Natural Gas trading team in Houston. You will develop pricing, risk frameworks and strategies for energy transactions, focusing on load obligations and full-requirements opportunities across US electricity markets.

You will collaborate with traders, developers and researchers to build pricing models, implement hedging strategies, and deliver scenarios and performance analyses for diverse load

Qualifications

• 5+ years in US power trading or related quantitative field.
• Experience pricing load auctions or load-following portfolios.
• Strong grasp of US wholesale power markets and related products.
• Proficient in Python or similar language.
• Solid foundation in statistics, optimization and time-series analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain models for US power load auctions and load-following products.
• Value complex load obligations considering demand, weather, hourly shape and congestion.
• Provide bid recommendations and scenario analyses for various load opportunities.
• Design hedge strategies across power, gas, capacity, transmission and environmental products.
• Translate market views into executable bidding and risk-management strategies.
• Develop tools for portfolio valuation, reporting, stress testing and attribution.
• Research market structure changes and their impact on pricing and hedging.
• Improve data, forecasting and analytical infrastructure with engineers and data specialists.
• Communicate model assumptions and implications clearly to leadership.
