Teradyne in Agoura Hills, CA is seeking a Power Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to next-generation semiconductor tester platforms. The role focuses on power subassembly design, system-level integration, and ensuring safety and EMC compliance.

The candidate will collaborate with NPI and manufacturing teams, develop architecture roadmaps, and drive sustainable power solutions while balancing cost and time-to-market constraints. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or 4 years with a MS) required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles in the area of specialization.
• Ability to diagnose issues and apply analytical methods to resolve engineering problems.
• Experience with Cadence or SolidWorks Electrical preferred.
• Familiarity with 208V/480V 3-phase design and product safety/EMC standards.

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Power Infrastructure Engineer for the Power Infrastructure Team in Agoura Hills, California, for platform product development initiatives for our next-generation Semiconductor Testers. In the Power Infrastructure Team, we focus on developing state-of-the-art, industry-leading Semiconductor Test Equipment.

• Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 4 years with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Complete knowledge and full understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices within the area of specialization.
• Ability to assess unusual circumstances, identify causes, and resolve a wide range of issues using analytical and problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to independently evaluate information, exercise judgment, and adapt existing approaches to resolve engineering issues.
• Basic schematic design and interpretation skills. Experience with Cadence or SolidWorks Electrical is preferred.
• Single-phase and 3-phase medium-power (208V/480V) design skills.
• Familiarity with product safety and EMC standards associated with laboratory testing, including IEC standards.
• Experience working and coordinating with third-party safety agencies.
• Advanced spreadsheet functions and techniques for data analysis.
• Ability to create and understand wire tables and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tools. Experience with Teamcenter is preferred.
• Experience with PCB design is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work closely with mechanical design engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.
• Ability to build effective internal and external working relationships and communicate technical information to different audiences.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of SEMI standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards to designs is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 10%.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $114,000 - $182,500. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan:

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
