Job summary

Candid Intelligence is seeking a senior process engineer with hands-on power generation and gas-to-power project experience. You will perform real process engineering on FEL-2, act as the quality gate for automated outputs, and help shape product requirements for the software.

You’ll collaborate across Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to deliver early-phase packages. You’ll wear multiple hats, own critical checks, and drive practical engineering judgment to ensure

Qualifications

• 7+ years at large-scale EPC, PMC, or owner-operator on power projects.
• Direct experience on combined cycle, simple cycle, LNG, or cogeneration.
• Ownership of PFD and P&ID development through FEED.
• Strong fuel gas, balance of plant, and utility systems experience.
• Hands-on process simulation with listed tools.
• Fundamentals in relief, hydraulics, and equipment sizing.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, ISA standards.
• Ability to spot inconsistencies across P&IDs and datasheets.
• Willingness to wear multiple hats and take action.

Responsibilities

• Do real process engineering on FEL-2 and early-phase delivery, owning parts our software can’t handle yet so projects ship.
• Be the quality gate on automated outputs: catch issues before they reach a client and feed improvements back to the product.
• Define how preconstruction process work is done on power and gas-to-power projects, and what good looks like.
• Review and validate process deliverables across early-phase packages: heat balances, fuel gas systems, balance of plant, utilities.
• Build repeatable checks that catch inconsistencies across key documents and handoffs.
• Map where rework happens, why it happens, and what inputs drive it.
• Clarify interface points with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation.
• Separate steps that are repetitive from those needing real engineering judgment.
• Help define checks, workflows, and product requirements to let software take on repetitive parts.
