Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead internal design teams and drive project design across power markets including renewables, carbon capture, and energy services. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients and construction leadership to deliver safe, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in project management.
• Ability to mentor technical staff and foster a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of the internal project design team(s).
• Ensure contract design requirements are met by understanding all obligations.
• Facilitate effective communication between design and construction leadership.
• Report project design and performance status to clients and permitting agencies.
• Coordinate technical details across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Resolve conflicts among design team, clients, and construction.
• Support construction priorities through the design process.
• Plan and communicate resource needs for engineering teams.
• Manage and interpret data and results for multiple projects.
• Meet project engineering schedules and budgets.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Consolidate best practices from project execution.
