Job summary

Lunar Energy is hiring a Staff Reliability Engineer - Power Electronics to ensure product reliability across the lifecycle of home energy products. You will influence design with Design for Reliability, develop test plans and analyze field data, working with a diverse team to improve durability and performance.

The role emphasizes collaboration, DFMEA leadership, and accelerated life testing for PCBAs, power converters, and battery systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Engineering or Physics or equivalent.
• Proven track record solving power electronics reliability failures.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and reliability planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers during hardware design to establish reliability targets.
• Provide Design for Reliability (DfR) inputs during new product development.
• Drive DFMEA to capture risks and mitigation actions.
• Develop ALT Reliability Test Plans for components and subsystems.
• Track field reliability performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive failure analysis of reliability test and field returns to determine root cause.
