Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an engineer to own the electrical design of power paths for frontier compute machinery. You will design and integrate high-speed drives and motor systems, address EMC and bearing-current challenges, and ensure safe operation of test cells and load banks.

The role requires hands-on experience with power electronics, safe-work practices, and a willingness to push the envelope on high-power, high-speed infrastructure for AI compute.

Qualifications

• Designed a high-power converter or motor drive that was built and used under load.
• Integrated a drive with a motor designed by others and analyzed the bus impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design of the machine’s power path, including DC bus, inverter and motor drive.
• Define and integrate drive for high-speed hermetic motor, addressing switching, thermal and insulation needs.
• Design power and protection for test benches and load banks to allow full-rating operation.
