Job summary

Paradigm Power Delivery, a Babcock Power company, is seeking an Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for power delivery projects. You will analyze plans, perform quantity take-offs, and work with project teams to develop competitive bids.

The role requires a strong background in estimating within power delivery or construction, plus proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. On-site work in a collaborative environment is common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in estimating within power delivery or construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms, estimating principles, and construction processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills for accurate estimates.
• Effective written and verbal communication to collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project specifications and performing quantity take-offs across trades.
• Develop conceptual estimates using preliminary design documents with engineers and project managers.
• Maintain a comprehensive pricing database to ensure accurate future estimates.
• Assist in managing subcontractor bid packages and evaluate bids for scope and competitiveness.
• Support project teams with estimating process insights during project execution.
