Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer to lead BI development, optimization, and governance for reporting assets in the United States. You will design and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports, and build semantic models with DAX to deliver accurate analytics.

Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Direct Lake architectures, you will ensure secure data, governance, and efficient refresh processes.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of hands-on BI and Power BI development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Service, DAX, and semantic modeling.
• Experience with Power Query and dimensional modeling; reliable analytical data structures.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Direct Lake architecture.
• Knowledge of row-level and object-level security, workspace governance, and governed data distribution.
• Experience with deployment pipelines and certified datasets; performance tuning.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered; open to part-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization, and governance of BI solutions.
• Design, build, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Develop semantic models, DAX measures, relationships, hierarchies, and calculation groups.
• Integrate reporting solutions with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, lakehouses, and Direct Lake datasets.
• Apply Power Query and dimensional modeling for data transformation and modeling.
• Implement row- and object-level security; align access controls with Entra ID and workspace governance.
• Establish certified datasets and reusable semantic models; standardize reporting practices.
• Improve report performance, data refresh, and capacity utilization.
• Manage report distribution and collaboration with Microsoft 365 and Teams.
• Support deployment pipelines, source control, and release processes.
