Job summary

EtiVenture Analytics is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design and deliver data profiling and reporting solutions using MS Power BI for a client.

The role involves gathering requirements, understanding business needs, and creating effective data visualizations in a long-term remote contract. Collaboration with business users and an Agile team is essential.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of experience writing SQL.
• Experience gathering requirements from business users for data profiling and reporting.
• Knowledge of RDBMS, ETL and reporting tools.
• Experience with BI visualization tools, preferably MS Power BI.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Kimball methodology.
• Strong SDLC and version control experience.
• Experience working in an Agile project team.
• Ability to define functional and technical docs from data availability and quality.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with experience in data profiling and reporting. The best candidate will be someone who can gather requirements, understand the need and create effective data visualization reports using MS Power BI.

This is a long-term contract remote position working with our client.

Technical Skills:

• Minimum three (3) years' experience writing SQL.
• Ability to work with business users and management to understand the business need for data, profiling, exploration and reporting
• Experience working with: RDBMS, ETL and reporting tools.
• Experience with BI visualization tools, preferably MS Power BI.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and experience in creating data warehouse schemas with Kimball methodology.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and version/source control disciplines
• Understanding in working in an Agile Project Development team
• Must be able to define functional and technical docs based on data availability, quality and profiling on source data systems.
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Understand complex logic and solve data issues by coming up with sound technical solutions.
