Job summary

NAVA Software solutions in Houston is seeking a Power BI Developer to turn raw data into insightful dashboards and reports. This hybrid role focuses on analytics design, BI standards, and data management across cloud platforms.

Ideal candidates have 8-10+ years in BI, with a background in Credit/Loan/Mortgage domains, strong SQL/DAX skills, and excellent client-facing communication. This is a 6- to 12-month contract with hybrid work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Platform.
• Strong data modeling and SQL capabilities.
• Experience with DAX queries and complex calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with executives.
• Ability to mentor developers and set best practices.
• Experience with data warehousing and BI deployments.
• Domain experience in Credit/ Loan / Mortgage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve BI solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Provide analytics design consulting and standardize BI processes.
• Mentor team developers and set standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, analytics, and IT.
• Design and optimize data warehouse schemas and data dictionaries.
• Monitor system performance and data warehouse reliability.
• Write complex DAX queries and data models.
• Translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
