Job description

Senior Power Applications Engineer Position Overview:

Description:

  • This is a fast-paced role which involves using company Power System Management family of ICs (Hotswap, Ideal Diode Controllers, Power Over Ethernet, Digital Power Managers/Controllers) to solve engineering challenges in the industry as well as doing R&D work for the design community to influence the definition of future ICs. For this position, strong circuit fundamentals, troubleshooting and debug ability are a requirement.
  • This role also involves training field applications engineers, publishing articles, writing demo manuals as well as building and testing of custom demonstration boards. The candidate will benefit from exposure to applications in a broad variety of market segments that our products support.
  • MSEE preferred but not required. BSEE required. A minimum of 3 years industry experience is required.

Skills:

  • Strong Power Electronic Design Fundamentals; excellent circuit debugging skills; experience with lab equipment and good soldering skills; ability to debug various communications protocols such as I2C, SMBus, PMBus, SPI etc; ability to generate firmware (Arduino code) and do basic GUI development (C#); basic understanding of PCB layout.
