Job Juncture seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for an industrial powder coating SME in Knoxville, TN, with a base salary up to $130,485 and comprehensive benefits. This onsite role requires 2-year degrees with 3–9+ years in manufacturing engineering and travel during onboarding.

As the SME, you will lead coating line design, equipment selection, and process optimization, working across teams to meet aggressive efficiency and quality targets.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering or related discipline is required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience for Level II or 6–9+ years for Senior roles.
Strong hands-on CAD, Lean tools, and industrial finishing systems knowledge.
Experience with SAP/ERP platforms and plant layout is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for powder coating, pretreatment, and finishing operations.
Lead capital projects: equipment, booths, ovens, and material handling systems.
Drive line optimization, KPI management, and reduction of scrap.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and finish quality.
Lead 5S, safety, and SOP development for finishing lines.
Support ramp-up at Knoxville site with travel to sister facilities.
