Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ hosts the Ivy Brain Tumor Center. The Postdoctoral Fellow IV will join a collaborative preclinical neuro-oncology team to translate scientific priorities into rigorous experiments and contribute to center projects.

Under faculty direction, you will design and execute preclinical studies, mentor junior staff, contribute to publications and grant proposals, and present findings at meetings while developing toward independent scientific

Qualifications

• PhD in oncology, neuro-oncology, cancer biology or closely related field.
• Postdoctoral or equivalent research experience with increasing independence and leadership.
• Expertise in preclinical cancer research with knowledge of cancer biology and signaling pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day scientific oversight of assigned research activities, particularly Ivy Center projects.
• Mentor junior laboratory staff and contribute to publications, grant proposals and scientific presentations.
• Design and execute preclinical studies, discuss progress with Principal Investigator and Project Manager.
• Ensure research documentation is complete, accurate and traceable.
