Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors seeks a seasoned multi-asset portfolio construction specialist to focus on intermediary clients in the U.S. with potential global coverage.

You will work with the sales team to drive engagement through individual meetings and small group presentations, delivering customized asset allocation analytics and collaborating on portfolio construction offerings. The role requires 5–10 years in asset management, a bachelor’s degree, and Series 7/63 licenses, with strong Excel

Qualifications

• Multi-asset portfolio construction SME with client-facing responsibilities.
• Extensive intermediary client engagement including meetings and group presentations.
• 5–10 years of industry experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of asset management and distribution channels (institutional, adviser-driven, platform, insurance).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Series 7 and Series 63 required.

Responsibilities

• Drive client engagement through meetings and small-group presentations.
• Provide customized asset allocation analytics.
• Collaborate with sales and tech to enhance portfolio construction offerings.
• Contribute ideas for client-facing content and thought leadership.
• Research portfolio construction methodologies, risk metrics and trends.

Your opportunity

• Be primarily focused on our intermediary clients located in the U.S., with additional opportunity for global client coverage
• Work closely with our sales team to drive client engagement through both individual client meetings and small group presentations
• Provide and present customized asset allocation analytics
• Partner with sales and technology resources to improve Janus Henderson's Portfolio Construction and Strategy offerings and deliverables dependent on client needs
• Contribute concepts and ideas for client-facing content and thought leadership
• Research industry standard methodologies surrounding portfolio construction techniques, risk metrics, and evolving trends
• Use PCS deliverables to help implement strategies that deliver results on target with client investment objectives
• Work with sales to identify potential fit for Janus Henderson strategies both pre- and post-client engagement
• Seek opportunities to actively promote products and drive sales
• Stay current on capital markets and industry trends to further subject matter expertise in portfolio strategy
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

• Multi-asset experience as a portfolio construction subject matter specialist, multi-asset client portfolio manager, or multi-asset product manager
• Extensive client-facing experience with intermediary clients, including both individual client meetings and large group presentations, individual teams and home office engagements
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Deep experience with asset management industry, including knowledge of Distribution channels such as institutional, adviser-driven, platform placement and/or insurance, with the ability to quickly learn key drivers and needs of other channels
• Extensive Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Comfort with detailed data analysis, from sources including Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, FactSet, and eVestment
• Series 7 and Series 63 required

Nice to have skills

• CFA, or progress toward CFA, preferred
• Experience with international markets is a plus

Compensation information

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through December 31, 2026.
