Job summary

Commerce Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager III & Senior to oversee assigned client portfolios, establish objectives, allocate assets, select securities and report performance. You will engage with clients, provide market insight, and ensure portfolios meet objectives while aligning with bank recommendations.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross‑team collaboration, and participation in new business development, with a focus on wealth management outcomes and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years trust, bank or investment management experience.
• CFA and/or CFP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in leadership activities, including policy and strategy committees.
• Serve as a resource for other members of department.
• Meet with assigned clients on a regular basis, provide portfolio and investment reporting and make investment recommendations as appropriate.
• Determine appropriate investment objective of assigned client investment portfolios, work with the client and administrative officer as appropriate.
• Provide information to clients regarding general market and economic conditions.
• Review existing client portfolios to ensure investment objectives are being met and compliant with recommendations.
• Provide timely implementation of security-specific recommendations in client portfolios.
• Pro-actively discuss investment and client problems with leadership for timely resolution.
• Support investment committees with complete and timely information about portfolios.
• Maintain constructive working relationship with private client associates for client service.
• Participate in new business development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
