Job summary

Whittier Trust seeks a Vice President, Portfolio Manager to manage client portfolios across equities, fixed income, cash and alternative assets within guidelines. The PM will engage in research, client communications, and growth initiatives, presenting findings to clients and referral sources.

Responsibilities include asset allocation, investment decision-making, and weekly investment meetings. A strong track record in portfolio management and a client-focused, entrepreneurial mindset are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university.
• MBA from top-tier business school (preferred, not essential).
• CFA designation preferred (not essential).
• 10+ years of Portfolio Management and staff experience overseeing diversified global portfolios.
• Strong investment research experience.
• Investment experience with alternative assets a plus.
• Strong communication, client relationships and business development skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong ability to identify and build relationships with qualified prospects.

Responsibilities

• Manage client portfolios of equities, fixed income, cash and alternative assets.
• Make and implement investment decisions.
• Maintain asset allocations within client guidelines.
• Analyze economic, asset class, sector or company fundamentals.
• Lead or assist in internally managed strategies and asset allocation.
• Participate in weekly/monthly investment meetings and communicate with the Investment Department.
• Meet with clients on a regular basis.
• Present to clients, prospects and referral sources.
• Contribute to growth through business development initiatives.
• Coordinate with Client Administrators on shared accounts.
