Job summary

Plastic Executive Recruiters is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our polymer extrusion operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee daily extrusion production, drive efficiency, maintain quality, and foster a safe, high-performing team. The role requires leadership of supervisors and operators, with a focus on meeting output goals while optimizing processes and safety. A strong background in plastics extrusion and lean initiatives is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in plastics, polymer, or extrusion environments.
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, production scheduling, and plant operations.
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Solid problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily extrusion production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
• Lead and develop production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
• Monitor KPIs including throughput, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
• Drive training, accountability, and standard work across the production floor.
• Support process optimization for polymer extrusion equipment, tooling, and line performance.
