Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, public policy, or closely related field
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 1 year in a developing country
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Experience with randomized evaluation methodology and econometrics
• Strong writing, communication, and public speaking skills

Responsibilities

• Support J-PAL’s growing policy efforts with breadth of knowledge and deep understanding
• Manage sector/pillar initiatives, supervise staff, and develop strategy for policy programs
• Synthesize evidence and create materials for policymakers, including policy memos and outreach content
• Lead policy campaigns and coordinate across teams to maximize evidence-to-policy impact
• Assist in donor engagement and fundraising efforts while maintaining program quality
