Job summary

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Senior Policy Fellow, Energy & Emerging Technology, to lead policy development at the intersection of energy policy, technology policy, AI, regulatory reform, and economic growth. You will shape public debate and develop market-based solutions to remove barriers to innovation.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in energy and technology policy.
• 8+ years of experience in policy, government, research, or advocacy.
• Proven track record influencing policymakers and public debate.
• Excellent writing, communications, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex issues for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy development at the intersection of energy, technology, AI, and regulatory reform.
• Develop research, testimony, op-eds, and commentary for policymakers and partners.
• Translate complex issues into actionable policy recommendations.
• Advise senior leaders on strategy and emerging trends.
• Build relationships with lawmakers, industry, academics, and media.
• Represent AFP in public forums and media appearances.
• Collaborate with teams to support campaigns and advocate for reform.
• Mentor policy staff and support a high-performing team.
