Job summary

Service Specialists Ltd. is partnering with a commercial construction client to recruit a Senior Project Manager based in Jackson, MS (Home Office) with travel to project sites.

You will oversee complex, multi-site commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, mentoring Project Managers and Engineers across the portfolio. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontract administration while fostering strong client relationships and leading project teams to successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in commercial construction with at least 5 years as a Project Manager delivering commercial building projects valued at $20 million to $75 million or more.
• Experience leading multiple projects and coordinating teams with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6/Outbuild, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial building projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project teams and mentor Project Managers and Engineers across the portfolio.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers.
• Support preconstruction activities including drawings, estimates, GMP/lump-sum proposals, and project execution plans.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract sourcing, and supplier prequalification.
• Manage prime and subcontracts, including change orders, and notices.
• Oversee project financials, budgets, cost reports, cash flow, and profit margins.
• Develop and manage schedules with Superintendents and coordinate long-lead procurement.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, document control, and daily reports in Procore.
• Support safety and quality programs and coordinate permits and inspections.
• Lead project closeout activities and final payments.
• Support business development through pursuits and proposals.
