Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Search Systems Engineer at scale, partnering with distributed teams to design future-proof search infrastructure and AI-native capabilities. You’ll translate complex technical tradeoffs into product value, and drive long-term platform health with a customer-centric perspective.

You’ll influence architecture decisions, collaborate with SRE and leaders, and deliver measurable improvements in reliability, latency, and multi-tenant performance in a fast-moving AI-enabled cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience focused on infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Ability to debate consensus algorithms and articulate technical tradeoffs.
• Proven track record translating engineering issues into business value.
• Strong storytelling skills to align stakeholders with platform strategy.

Responsibilities

• Drive the long-term vision for MongoDB Search for 12–18 months ahead.
• Advocate for customers, uncover scalability needs, ensure performance and multi-tenancy.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to translate tradeoffs into business value.
• Partner with SRE to improve observability and reliability.
