Job summary

TalentoHC is partnering with a world-leading toy company to recruit a Senior Toy Designer to lead the plush design team. The role focuses on developing soft goods for licensed lines and coordinating with global manufacturing partners to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will shape product concepts from sketching through prototyping, collaborate with brand and licensing teams, and present to licensors for approvals, while maintaining budget and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience in the toy industry, including plush and textiles.
• 1+ years working directly with global manufacturing vendors, with an understanding of materials and processes.
• Experience designing within strict licensed brand style guides.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign with detailed control drawings and rendered concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Toy Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plush product design from initial sketching and concept through prototyping, turnover, and final production.
• Collaborate with brand management, licensing, packaging, engineering, and global manufacturing teams.
• Present concepts to brand, management, and licensor teams and secure licensor approvals.
• Deliver precise, complete turnover specifications and confirm they are understood by international teams and factories.
• Review illustrative turns, sculpts, paint masters, and samples while ensuring designs meet cost, quality, schedule, and brand standards.
