MTech Mechanical is a leading mechanical/plumbing design/build contractor in Colorado. We seek a Senior Plumbing Engineer to manage plumbing construction documents and both technical leadership and project support across departments.

The role emphasizes design development, coordination with architects and contractors, and adherence to IPC and local codes. Expect a high level of technical expertise and collaborative problem solving in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of plumbing experience in design/build projects.
• CPD certification or PE license strongly desired.
• ASPE membership strongly desired.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficient with IPC, IFGC, Denver amendments and local codes.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit; Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plumbing construction documents for in-house design/build projects.
• Assist PreConstruction with conceptual designs, one-line diagrams, energy and water analyses, code reviews, and project interviews.
• Perform final checks to ensure high-quality output at each project phase.
• Coordinate with architects, general contractors, and other disciplines as lead on the project team.
• Evaluate design parameters and system solutions to meet technical and budget needs.
• Prepare plumbing calculations and system sizing; maintain knowledge of IPC and codes.
• Lead as a technical peer within the department.
• Establish and manage budgets with PMs and PreConstruction teams.
• Conduct surveys of existing buildings for design and construction needs.
• Interface with other departments to provide technical support.
