Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

We’re looking for a high‑energy Plumbing Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative plumbing design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside a team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.

Responsibilities
  • Development of the design criteria for plumbing systems.
  • Layout and design of plumbing systems including sanitary sewer, process sewer, potable water, hot water, natural gas, and roof drainage.
  • Development of final design documents including specifications associated with these systems.
  • Coordination with other disciplines.
  • Accountability for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • At least eight (8) years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to plumbing system design.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
Ideal Additional Qualifications
  • Software experience in Revit.

Base Salary

Base salary range: $123,600.00 to $162,300.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
