Job summary

EXP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to join the Washington DC area team with offices in Fairfax or Towson MD. You will lead plumbing design, mentor staff, review drawings, and ensure code compliance for complex projects.

The role requires 10+ years in plumbing engineering, PE, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Projects span transit, aviation, and commercial buildings; salary ranges from $140,000 to $180,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient withplumbingengineering and design, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the Transit, Aviationor Commercial Building projects
• Must have strong communication skills, be able to direct other individuals in the design ofplumbingsystems.
• PE required

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior engineers, engineers and designers level staff on all of their responsibilities.
• Review code related items with engineers to ensure compliance.
• Perform at a responsible charge level of meeting exp design and quality levels.
• Ability to QC all work ofplumbingengineering staff.
• Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp & client’s exposure to problems.
• Creates the narratives (basis of design) for the SD work.
• Perform front-end loading ofplumbingsystems.
• Develop and monitorplumbingwork plans in conjunction with PM.
• Write new specification sections; develop new details, as required for project needs.
• Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Writes studies and reports forplumbingsystems when needed on projects.
• Understand and apply engineering principles and fundamentals.
• Perform life cycle cost analyses, and energy/cost calculations forplumbingsystems.
• Ability to develop alternative 'Engineered'plumbingsystems that meet code.

What your experience looks like

• BS Architectural Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree; preferred but not necessary

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
