Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Designer in Vista, CA to focus on building systems design using Revit and AutoCAD for educational campuses, healthcare facilities, hotels, and more.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in plumbing design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a Mechanical Engineering degree. EIT/PE is a plus but not required. Base salary range is $45–$50 per hour, with travel up to 10% and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of plumbing design experience in facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE optional.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design calculations and select equipment for buildings.
• Preparation of detailed design documents
• Specification writing/editing
• Code compliance research
• Collaborate with team to coordinate services
• Site surveys to assess existing conditions
• Construction administration support including submittal reviews and RFIs
