Occidental College is seeking a Plumber B in the Utilities & Energy Management department. The role involves maintaining water, waste and gas distribution, and specialized areas like swimming pools and fountains.

Reporting to the Trades Manager, the position is non-exempt, full-time, 40 hours per week, with starting pay around a competitive hourly rate and scheduled increases over the first year.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Plumbing trade certificate(s) of training.
• Four years of experience in the plumbing trades.
• Extensive experience cleaning, repairing and servicing drains (clay, plastic, cast iron).
• Ability to read blueprints and size/estimate plumbing systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance, repair and installation of plumbing systems and gas distribution.
• Troubleshoot problems with guidance from senior plumbers.
• Assist on complex tasks such as backflow devices and gas meter connections.
• Prepare work orders and maintain maintenance logs.
