Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a plumber to install, repair, and maintain natural gas, water, or wastewater lines in city buildings. You will provide routine maintenance and may instruct junior plumbers as needed.

The position requires a Texas Journeyman license, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and on 24/7 emergency calls. A 10-year TSA background check is required.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Journeyman (or higher) Plumber's license.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Subject to working overtime, weekends, twenty-four/seven (24/7) emergency call out and holidays.
• Must be able to pass 10-year TSA Federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and provides routine maintenance of natural gas, water, or wastewater lines and fixtures to maintain safe and effective service in City owned buildings.
• Provides instruction for lower level plumbers.
