Job summary

Banner Health Corporate seeks a Senior Plumber to maintain and repair the hospital plumbing infrastructure across water, wastewater and medical gas systems in Tucson. You will review projects for code compliance, work with contractors, and mentor Facilities Services staff to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires six years of diversified plumbing experience in healthcare, strong reading of construction docs, and solid verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current state plumber's license required.
• Knowledge of IBC/UBC, Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA and local codes.
• Six years of diversified plumbing experience in healthcare.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance and construction documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and replace water and wastewater pipes and fixtures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for plumbing systems.
• Modify structures to install fixtures and monitor installation quality.
• Collaborate with other divisions and contractors; supervise as needed.
• Provide mentorship and training to Facilities Services staff.
• Maintain parts, materials, and replacement schedules within budget.
