Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a licensed plumber to perform diagnostic service and installation in residential and light-commercial settings. You will work under supervision, ensure compliance with codes, communicate with customers, and promote services.

This is an on-site role in Fairfax, VA with union benefits and ongoing training. Required licenses, EPA/safety certifications, and a strong grasp of plumbing codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with on-the-job and formal classroom training in plumbing work.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Current knowledge of and continuing education in plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely manner.
• Maintains and repairs plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel.
• Assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering or welding.
• Locates and marks pipe installations and cuts openings.
• Installs pipe assemblies and fixtures using hand or power tools.
• Directs helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems.
