Job summary

RE Mason Company is seeking a PLC Engineer to join our Project Execution Team, developing, delivering and commissioning PLC‑based control systems for industrial customers, including power, cooling and building management subsystems.

You will work closely with Technical Leads, SCADA Engineers and cross‑functional project teams to deliver high‑quality automation solutions, create Functional Requirements and Detailed Design Specifications, and support FAT/SAT and on‑site commissioning.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field
• 8–12 years of relevant experience
• Experience with PLC platforms from Emerson, Siemens or other major vendors
• Experience integrating PLC with SCADA apps (Ignition, FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Iconics)
• Ability to configure third‑party system integrations using OPC
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU)
• Familiarity with lifecycle support and uptime‑sensitive environments

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems for critical infrastructure
• Develop, test, and deploy PLC logic for integrated control systems
• Integrate PLC with SCADA platforms and historians
• Create system documentation (FRS, DDS) and participate in FAT/SAT
• Support on‑site commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting
• Travel to customer sites 25–50% for project execution and commissioning
