Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Software Engineering in the United States. You will lead multiple platform teams to standardize middleware patterns, improve observability, SLOs, and reliability, and partner with stakeholders to drive adoption and migration plans.

In this role you will mentor engineers, define API/SDK strategies, oversee performance optimization, security and testing practices, and guide architecture decisions for scalable platforms serving diverse consumers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• Experience leading multiple teams and driving middleware strategy.
• Strong background in observability, SLOs, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple platform teams to standardize middleware patterns and client libraries used by several consumer teams.
• Establish guardrails for APIs/SDKs, deprecation strategies, and upgrade playbooks.
• Sponsor observability frameworks and capacity models across teams with error budgets.
• Provide technical guidance on software design, testing, and optimization.
• Coordinate cross-team efforts to ensure scalable, secure software architecture.
• Lead incident management and debugging to resolve complex issues.
